1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Storybook Creator, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

Storybook Creator is an AI-powered platform that enables users to create personalized children's storybooks. Our services include:

  • AI-generated story text based on user prompts
  • AI-generated illustrations for story pages
  • Book cover design tools
  • Print-ready PDF downloads
  • Account management and story storage

3. Credits and Payment

Credit System: Image generation requires credits. One credit equals one image generation or regeneration.

Pricing:

  • Digital Book Starter: $8.00 USD for 32 credits
  • Additional Credits: $2.20 USD for 5 credits

Payment Processing: All payments are securely processed through Stripe. We do not store your payment information.

Credits: Credits never expire and are non-transferable. Credits cannot be redeemed for cash.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Content Ownership and License

Your Content: You retain all rights to the text you write and images you upload. By using our service, you grant us a license to store and process your content to provide the service.

AI-Generated Content: Content generated by our AI (text and images) is provided to you for your use. However, AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection under current laws. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the generated content for personal or commercial purposes. AI-generated images are saved to your account for future access.

Reference Images and Data Sharing: When you upload reference images for AI generation, these images are shared with OpenAI API to generate illustrations. 6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Generate inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
  • Attempt to circumvent our credit system
  • Resell or redistribute our service without permission
  • Abuse, harass, or harm our AI systems
  • Reverse engineer or copy our technology

7. Physical Book Orders

Data Sharing: When you place an order for a physical printed book, the images for all book pages (including AI-generated images and uploaded images) are shared with our third-party printing service to fulfill your order. By placing a physical book order, you consent to this sharing of your book images with the printing service for the sole purpose of printing and shipping your book.

Image Bleed and Trim Area Requirements

Physical book printing requires images to extend beyond the final trim size to account for cutting variations. This extended area is called the "bleed zone."

  • The grey box displayed in the image preview on each page indicates the safe trim area
  • Images must extend into and fill the entire area including the bleed zone (outside the grey box)
  • Content near the edges may be trimmed during the printing process
  • It is your responsibility to verify that your images properly extend into the trim area before ordering

User Responsibility: You are responsible for reviewing and verifying that all images in your book preview properly extend into the trim area as indicated by the grey box borders. If images appear cut off or do not extend into the bleed zone in the final printed book, we cannot provide refunds or reprints for this issue. We strongly recommend carefully reviewing your book preview before placing your order.

Quality Verification: The preview tool shows exactly how your images will be positioned in the final print. Always check each page to ensure important content is within the safe zone and that images extend to the edges where needed.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the service available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

Storybook Creator is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or any indirect damages.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by email or through the service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
